A downloadable SOD for Android

Small Object of Delight is a prototype developed for a University project. The sole purpose of the prototype is to provide the user with kind words with minimal interaction needed. Simply just tap on your Android device to cycle through the phrases! 

As this is a University prototype, the app may receive occasional updates, but this is not guaranteed. 


Testing Configuration

Small Object of Delight was developed and tested on the following systems;

MacOS

  • 14 Inch MacBook Pro [M1 Pro, 10C + 16C, 32GB RAM]

Unity Version

  • 2021.3.6f1 LTS

Android

  • Emulated Pixel 3 [Android 13 via Android Studio on MacOS]
  • Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge [LineageOS based on Android 10]

System Requirements

Small Object of Delight is a lightweight application, therefore I recommend the following software specifications;

  • Android 10 and above

Install instructions

Small Object of Delight is only available through itch.io, therefore to install it please follow the instructions below;

  1. Download the ZIP file from this page
  2. Locate it on your phone (You may also download it on a computer and copy it on your Android phone)
    1. Usually Android will save the ZIP file to your Downloads folder
  3. Extract the ZIP file to a known location
  4. Click on "SODV1.4.apk"
  5. Click 'Continue' to any warnings that appear
